In the framework of the WIIS Brussels series of consultations on the evolving concept of security, WIIS Brussels organised and hosted a Consultation on Security with Yemeni women working on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda who visited Brussels on 21 June. The women shared their understanding of the changing security environment in Yemen and the women’s role in it based on the findings from their research and personal experience. They engaged in a conversation with WIIS Brussels members to reflect together on the role communities play in shaping a secure environment for us all. The women’s contribution to the WIIS Brussels Consultations on Security was enabled through the Supporting Arab Women at the Table (SAWT) project, funded by the European Union (EU), led by the Arab Reform Initiative (ARI) and implemented through country partners.
