The debate on international relations, security and defence has long suffered a lack of parity between male and female voices as well as of generational, regional and ethnic diversity.

WIIS Brussels endeavours to give women a platform to contribute to policy discussions either on gender-specific topics or on broader geo-political policy challenges.

At times WIIS BXL collaborates with partners such as the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Open Society European Policy Institute, Friends of Europe, the European Commission, U.S. Missions to NATO and the EU, business and others to increase its reach and strengthen its impact.
